Takara used the mouth plated version for their release. Several stores in Japan had promotions which offered a free energon weapon with the purchase of Grand Convoy. JUSCO stores offered "Energon Spear Corona Flame" a bright translcuent orange version of Skyblast's Energon accessory weapon. Yokaido offered the "Energy Axe Black Hole Edition" a translucent black version of Strongarm's crane axe accessory weapon. Hello Mac, Posful, Pelican, Joshin Denki & Heiwado stores offered a clear Energy Spear. Later, buying Convoy and Wing Saber at unknown stores would net you a free Energy Cutter Daylight edition, a bright translucent yellow version of Signal Flare's accessory weapon and Energon Blade Night Phantom Edition a translucent black redeco of Cruellock's tail blade and gun.
